What does it mean to be conservative?

This is why most self-professed liberals and conservatives actually have much more in common than they care to admit. That’s because the overwhelming majority of people believe in the pursuit of happiness. Which is not to be confused with the guarantee of happiness. But anyone with any common sense could figure that out.
